Complete noob here and maybe missing some feature or setting.

Whenever I drop a dmg file to install it gives the same error

I am on Big Sur 11.2.3. Cannot install any dmg file.

Already tried uninstalling the app, removing application support folder and restarting the machine.
Then ended up installing 12.1 Mac OS but still facing same issue.
