I'm not sure when it happened but the bit.ly drop has stopped working for me. Simply times out.

bit.ly changed their API. The extension has been updated and is working now. You can download the updated version from http://aptonic.com/extend.php

Hi, downloaded the bit.ly extension today from http://aptonic.com/getdestination.php?n … y.dropzone

Verified that my login and password are correct by logging into the website. Entered my login and password into the extension. When dragging a URL into the bit.ly circle, I get "Invalid user or API key".

What can I try to resolve this?

You have to give it your bit.ly API key in the password field, not your password. To get your bit.ly API key, go here: http://bit.ly/a/your_api_key

That should fix it!
