Thanks for the report. I did make a change here and yes it has unfortunately broken dragging from Dock stacks under Catalina in 4.0.6.
4.0.7 is pending review with Apple already but I will roll out a fix for this in 4.0.8 in the next few days.

I've had a few people report this now, so it definitely warrants some further investigation.
Is this with Dropzone 4? Also, what macOS version? If you untick the 'Start Dropzone at login' checkbox in the preferences and re-tick it then reboot does it start? The way the launch at login works it wouldn't be expected to show under the user accounts login items section, so that's as expected.
It would also be great to see what Console log messages are being recorded. If it still doesn't start after unticking and re-ticking the 'Start Dropzone at login' checkbox then rebooting then would you mind opening Console.app which is in /Applications/Utilities and doing a search for 'Dropzone' and then unticking the 'Start Dropzone at login' checkbox and re-ticking it and then pasting me any relevant log messages. Thanks!
Please try uninstalling and removing Dropzone 3 by using these steps:
https://aptonic.com/uninstall.php
Then download Dropzone 3 again from https://aptonic.com/dropzone/latest
And after unzipping the bundle, move this to your Applications folder and run it.
This was removed because Apple removed the built-in Twitter macOS service that Dropzone used. So I guess a new dedicated action for Twitter needs to be developed. I will certainly consider this for a future version.
That's interesting about forum replies not emailing as well. Will look into that - thanks for the info.
Yes there will be a non-Mac App Store version of Dropzone 4 but this is still a few months away at the moment. In terms of upgrade path, I'm looking into providing a discount for existing Dropzone 3 non-Mac App Store customers when this releases. But not promising anything at the moment.
In the meantime, you can checkout the Setapp version - see https://setapp.com/apps/dropzone
This version runs unsandboxed and is more like the non-Mac App Store version. With Setapp you pay $9.99 per month and get Dropzone 4 as well as a bunch of other great apps and it also supports all the developers with their apps on Setapp by giving them some of the monthly revenue.
This version is unsupported and will not work correctly anymore. Also macOS 10.10 is no longer supported. You would need to be on a minimum version of macOS 10.13.
After updating your Mac you can install Dropzone 4 free from https://apps.apple.com/app/id1485052491?mt=12
Interesting, thanks.
Dropzone 4.0.3 has just been released and this version allows you to upload folders to your Google drive root as well as folders.
Google URL shortening is deprecated. Dropzone 4 replaces this with TinyURL to do shortening instead.
I think the Bit.ly action should be able to be updated to work but this is a bigger project. On my list of things to look at though.
That's a fantastic idea. I think it would be amazing to have the ability to store snippets of text in Dropbar that could then be clicked to place back on the clipboard.
Will consider this for a future version. Thanks for the feedback.
@scrutinizer That's interesting, thanks for providing that. It looks like maybe Dropzone might not be handling that number of folders correctly or possibly some issue with handling of the unicode names. I will investigate further.
@h0m0genised Very interesting. Thanks for helping debug that.
Yes the next step here is absolutely to make it upload into the root if there are no folders. I have added this to my TODO list for an upcoming release.
OK thanks - Now that you've created that folder what happens if you drag a file onto the 'Google Drive Debug Folders' action now? Do you get the same crash?
@h0m0genised Thanks for that. Very strange. Still not to sure what's happening here.
Next would you mind creating a folder in the root your Google Drive using the web interface (doesn't matter what the name is) and doing the click on the debug action in the grid and pasting me the output again?
@h0m0genised Would you mind doing the same thing? - Download the Google Drive Debug Folders action I linked above, authorize it and then click on it in the grid and then paste me what's in the debug console. Thanks.
@scrutinizer That's not the right log. That log is after dragging a file onto the action. I want you to instead CLICK on the action in the grid. There is a problem with how the folders are being requested and presented and I have added code in the click handler for the debug action to print the list of folders in a way that I can debug it.
Please click the action in the grid and then paste me that log.
Dropzone 4 has now been released.

For Dropzone 4, the Amazon S3 setup guide has been updated. See here for detailed steps for setting up Amazon S3 and sharing files using your own private cloud:
OK strange. You might have actually uncovered a bug in the Google Drive action here. Can you please download the attached dzbundle, unzip it, add it to your grid and authorize it and then click on it in the grid and paste me the debug console output. I don't need the access tokens and stuff. Really just any lines after:
Save_Value_Name: expires_at
Save_Value: 1580689328
This should hopefully give me a clue as to what's happening here.
Did you select a folder or have a folder setup to upload to? It looks a bit like it didn't get a valid folder to upload to.
Yep, Imgur should be fully working in Dropzone 4. That part of the app is free as well so you can just install it without paying anything. Let me know how you get on.
Hi guys, sorry for the delay. Dropzone 4 is now released which fixes this. You can install this from the Mac App Store here:
Hi Budgie,
Thanks for the suggestions. A lot of your ideas reflect some of the same things I'd like to see for the direction of the app. I had another customer who was looking for a DragThing replacement just the other day as well.
Will keep your ideas in mind as I continue to develop the app. Thanks for the feedback.
John
It's not broken. You have to drop the folder on the 'Add to Grid' icon in the top left of the grid. Maybe you have this section hidden? You can unhide it by opening the grid and clicking the little double ⌄
It's about a month away.
